A senior Government official directed a comprehensive study of the U.S. Intelligence Community. TS&A was engaged to support the effort; TS&A staff members served as members of the study’s Senior Panel of External Experts, and as the Director and members of the Commission’s government-contractor staff.

After India and Pakistan conducted nuclear tests that surprised the Intelligence Community, a senior intelligence official asked TS&A to conduct a comprehensive review of U.S. intelligence activities prior to the tests and identify recommended improvements in intelligence community processes and organizations. The official accepted all of TS&A’s recommendations and asked TS&A personnel to present them to other senior intelligence community and administration officials and to the Congress.

TS&A was asked by a major defense prime contractor to conduct an independent assessment of the core competencies and business practices of one of its divisions. TS&A conducted a rapid but in-depth review of the division’s capabilities, programs and markets and recommended more focused attention to nurturing its core competencies and applying them more comprehensively to all its programs and new business pursuit initiatives.

TS&A personnel routinely serve on the Defense Science Board, the Defense Policy Board, and the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board, as well as on several ad hoc commissions and studies. TS&A’s CEO chaired an Air Force Scientific Advisory Board study in enhancing military operations with coalition partners, which necessitated coordinating with members of several U.S. military combat commands, as well as the military organizations of several likely coalition partners.
