Military/Aerospace Analysis & Troubleshooting

In today’s complex environment, program managers find themselves challenged to command the resources they need to help them deliver their programs on time, under cost, and with expected performance. Increasingly, these program managers are turning to TS&A to supplement their program support resources.

Selected Client Success Stories

  • A large aerospace prime contractor was having difficulty in meeting the technical specifications for a major airborne sensor, and could not resolve the issue with its own staff or advisors. The company asked TS&A to assess the matter and recommend an approach. TS&A convened and chaired a panel of senior subject matter and domain experts who reviewed the technical problems and recommended a specific engineering approach to meet the specification. The client immediately implemented the approach, which did resolve the problem.

  • A technology company was informed by its customer that its bid for a major program contained several serious flaws. The company asked TS&A to form a “Red Team” to perform an immediate review of the proposal and address these flaws before submission of the Best and Final Offer. TS&A convened a group of technology and customer experts to review the company’s submission; prepared a cost model to analyze the proposal’s cost assumptions; and participated in the preparation of a revised submission addressing the customer’s concerns. The client subsequently won the competitive award.

  • A division of a diversified technology company was challenged by its parent company to achieve an ambitious revenue target. The company requested the services of TS&A to help it identify ways to meet this goal. TS&A’s analysis revealed that the division was already competing effectively in its areas of expertise, but that its markets were rapidly contracting. TS&A concluded that the division’s only viable path to growth was through identification of new markets and/or acquisitions. TS&A subsequently identified and outlined a number of potential new applications for the company’s technologies, and identified acquisition candidates best positioned to help the company expand into new commercial and government markets.
